on the outside it looks fine, the usual amount of drainage. white in color if even visible (not much of it) what worries me is the soreness and also that there is a white spot of skin on the inside of my lip under the piercing which is obviously an infection i caused from touching it.

Anything i can do? Im already on bactrim for an unrelated burn. Is that gonna help? Any other advice? Im hip to sea salt. thanks -j

Oregano Oil extract is a healthy alternative to some chemical disinfectants.

Maybe you need a longer bar? I would go and show it to your piercer. They will know.

Salt water is a cheap and effective antiseptic. Is it a new piercing?

thanks everyone.
@wibble yeah brand spankin.

Im thinking that the fact that im already on antibiotics, the problem should kind of right itself if i just take better care of it from now on... idk is anyone familiar with Bactrim, how effective/potent it is. Is it a pussy one or is it pretty good?

H2O2. Peroxide - best disinfectant out of them all. Dirt cheap, super effective and does not sting or hurt. Apply occasionally, or all day long, your choice.

Iodine is great too, but paints you orange in the process.

QFT

Not only will it act as a nice little antiseptic but it will also allow you to clean away the muck that is probably accumulating as a result of the infection.

Two birds with one stone. =D
